چکیده

A generalized likelihood-ratio test (GLRT) detector is derived for detecting a spacetime signal in the presence of unknown subspace interference and unknown target doppler. The near optimality and constant false alarm rate (CFAR) property of the GLRT is shown by the relationship to the uniformly most powerful invariant (UMPI) test using a simple approximation. Examples are presented comparing the detector against the UMPI tests and optimum Gaussian detector using ROC curves. The ROC curves indicate that the GLRT detectors compare favorably to the optimum detectors.

Performance Improvement of Radar Target Detection by Wavelet-based Denoising Methods

With progress in radar systems, a number of methods have been developed for signal processing and detection in radars. A number of modern radar signal processing methods use time-frequency transforms, especially the wavelet transform (WT) which is a well-known linear transform. The interference canceling is one of the most important applications of the wavelet transform. In Ad-hoc detection met...

General Linear Chirplet Transform and Radar Target Classification

In this paper, we design an attractivealgorithm aiming to classify moving targets includinghuman, animal, vehicle and drone, at groundsurveillance radar systems. The non-stationary reflectedsignal of the targets is represented with a novelmathematical framework based on behavior of thesignal components in reality. We further propose usingthe generalized linear chirp transform for the analysisst...

Adaptive Signal Detection in Auto-Regressive Interference with Gaussian Spectrum

A detector for the case of a radar target with known Doppler and unknown complex amplitude in complex Gaussian noise with unknown parameters has been derived. The detector assumes that the noise is an Auto-Regressive (AR) process with Gaussian autocorrelation function which is a suitable model for ground clutter in most scenarios involving airborne radars. The detector estimates the unknown...
